Leona Gladys
(Tack) Hermenet
Mrs. Leona Hermenet, 93, of Sodus, New York
and most recently Mount Airy, MD,
died April 27, 2008
at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center,
Frederick, Maryland.
She was preceded in death by her husband,
Alfred J. Hermenet, Sr. on February 15, 1978
and by her grandson, Alan J. Hermenet
on December 4, 1981.
Born December 3, 1914 in Sodus, NY,
she was the daughter of the late
Jacob and Jennie Tack.
Mrs. Hermenet was a homemaker,
long term family care giver,
member of the First United Presbyterian Church
of Sodus, The Eastern Star and a 1932
graduate of Sodus High School.
She is survived by sons, Alfred Hermenet, Jr.
and wife Sherry, and Wayne Hermenet and wife Christine,
both of Sodus, New York;
daughters, Arlene Plucinik of
Clyde, New York,
Elaine Schrader and husband Gerald
of Mount Airy, Maryland; grandchildren, Connie Blondell
and husband Duane of Sodus, New York, Susan Hermenet
of Vancouver, Washington,
Heidi Sink and husband Todd of
Seattle, Washington, Michael Plucinik of Clyde, New York,
William Plucinik and wife Doreena
of Penn Yan, New York,
Lora Gravatt and husband Carlton of Woodbridge,
Virginia, Stephen Schrader and wife Diane
of Mount Airy, Maryland, Richard Schrader
and wife Heather of Mount Airy, Maryland;
Carlye and Andrew Hermenet of Sodus, New York;
12 great grandchildren
and 2 great great grandchildren,
brother William Tack of Lakeland, Florida,
sister Mary Hewitt of Ontario, New York,
and sister-in-law Betty Tack of Sodus, New York.
Private interment at Brick Church Cemetery,
Sodus Center. A memorial service will be held
at First United Presbyterian Church, 31 West Main
Street, Sodus, New York,
Thursday, May 1, 2008 at 2:00 pm.
Visitation is not being
observed.
