Mrs. Katie M. Schwalm, 76 wife of Curtis H. Schwalm, of Washington Township, died Tuesday morning at the home of her son and daughter - in law, Mr. and Mrs. Roger C. Schwalm, 589 Union Street, where she has been residing the past three months. She has been seriously ill for a week.

Mrs. Schwalm was the daughter of the late Valentine and Christine Koppenhaver - Hoy, Millersburg, R. D., and was a life long resident of Washington Township. She was a member of Forney's E.U.B. church at Rife.

Surviving, in addition, to her husband, are two sons, Roger C., of Millersburg, and Ray L. Schwalm, Norwood, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Mrs. Paul Bonawitz, Millersburg, R. D. 1; three sisters, Miss Sarah M. Hoy, Philadelphia; Mrs. Charles E. Sheesley and Mrs. Lucy Saul, of Harrisburg; two brothers, Harry Hoy, Reading, and Grant Hoy, of Harrisburg; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m., from the Riegle Funeral Home, 512 Market Street, Rev. H. S. Kiefer, retired, of Lykens, officiating, assisted by Rev. Russell A. Hepner, of Harrisburg, pastor of Forney's Church. Internment in the church cemetery. Viewing at the funeral home this Friday, 7 to 9 p.m.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Man and Wife Die

Within 14 Days

Curtis H. Schwalm,79, of Millersburg, R. D. 1, died last Thursday in a Harrisburg Hospital. He was the son of the late William and Sarah Forney Schwalm, of Washington township, where he was born April 30, 1872. He was a life long resident of that township.

Mr. Schwalm's wife, Katie M. Schwalm, passed away February 5, fourteen days previous to his death.

Surviving are two sons, Roger C.,  Millersburg, and Ray L. Schwalm, Norwood, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Mrs. Paul Bonawitz, Millersburg, R. D. 1; a half brother, Fred Keefer, Elizabethville;  15 grandchildren

and 11 great grandchildren.

Services will be held from the Riegle Funeral Home, 512 Market Street, Sunday at 2 p.m.,   Rev. Russell A. Hepner officiating.. Interment was made in Forney's E. U. B. Cemetery, Rife.
