Obituary
Robert L. Barnes

CLYDE / ROSE - Robert Barnes, 84, of 3876 Galen Rd.,

died Friday,  December 8, 2006 at Serenity House Hospice Home in Victor following a brief illness.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday ,December.10th from 2-5 PM at the Baris Funeral Home,

87 W. Genesee Street, Clyde. Masonic services will be held at 4:30 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 11th at 10 a.m., with James Fisher, his nephew, officiating.


Mr. Barnes was born in Rose, on March 30, 1922, the son
of Frank and Doris Alberta Bastian Barnes. He was a
lifetime resident of Rose and a member of the Rose United
Methodist Church.. Mr. Barnes was a self-employed
plumber and farmer in the area for many years. Bob was
active in the Masonic Lodge. He was past master of the
Clyde Masonic Lodge # 341, was the recipient of the
Dedicated Service Apron and served as representative to
Georgia in 1988-1989. He was also a member of the Rose
Fire Department, enjoyed bowling and coin collecting.


He is survived by his son Jerome Barnes of Ft. Lauderdale,
FL; his daughter Judy (Harry) Schwarz of Geneva; two
grandchildren Jeffrey and Sarah D'Amico of Geneva;

 his sister Mrs. Lillian Fisher of Thompson, Ohio;

his sister-in-laws. Eva (Jess) Haelen of Rochester and

Jane Hoy of Rochester; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Winifred on June 1, 2006
and two brothers, Earl and Darwin Barnes.

 

Memorial contributions to the Rose Ambulance Corps

or to the Rose United Methodist Church would be
appreciated. Burial will be in Rose Cemetery.
