Gladys Irene Rich

Gladys Irene Rich, 89, of Sonoma, died July 11, 2004, at her home in Sonoma.
Mrs.
Rich was born in Omaha, Nebraska, and worked at American Can Company during World War II

She was a cosmetologist at Napa State Hospital for 16 years, and was the proprietor and one of the founders of Grace's Beauty Salon on Broadway, a popular salon in the 1950s and '60s. She was a member of the Eastern Star since 1948, and was a Sonoma resident since 1920

Mrs. Rich was the wife of the late Edward Rich; sister of Joe Hampton, of Red Bluff, and the late Harry and Bob Hampton and Edith Wilson. She is survived by many nieces and nephews

Private entombment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.
