Mr. Hoy was born August 9, 1858, in Houcktown, the son of

Jacob and Rebecca (Hoffman) Hoy. He was married

April 14, 1886, to Saloma Ellen Solt, who died April 26, 1929.

To this union were born two children, a daughter,

V. Mable, who became the wife of the late Merle A. Denison,

and a son, Frank E., 323 W. Lincoln Street.

Mrs. Denison died March 24, 1922.

fishing trip in Michigan, last Monday, the day before his

father suffered a stroke. He returned home Sunday

him in Michigan had been futile.

nieces and nephews.

Two brothers, Frank and John Hoy, and a sister,

Mrs. Ora Helms, preceded  him in death.

father-in-law, Peter Solt, in the livestock business.

He moved to Findlay in 1903 and retired from

active business in 1922.

class of the First Methodist church.
