Ella Alberta Woodworth was born in Mason county, Illinois, October 21, 1879. When but a little girl she came with her parents to Boone county, Nebraska in 1881. Here she grew to womanhood and here she spent her life, surrounded by a large circle of friends and acquaintances, which was made manifest by the great interest in her funeral. Floral tributes were numerous and beautiful. She was twice married, the last time, June 2, 1910, to Samuel A. Johnson. She died March 30, 1914. She had not been well for more than a week, suffering with rheumatism of the heart. She was up a few minutes Monday morning, early, giving directions about the affairs of the day, when she was taken suddenly with pain and died before anyone could reach the house. Her husband had just reached town when he received word and hastened back home, but too late to see her alive. She was the youngest girl in a family of eleven children, all living except the oldest. Beside these she leaves her husband, three boys of her own and four stepsons. She was deeply interested in her children, exceedingly industrious and kindhearted.

Services were from the Christian's chapel, Wednesday afternoon, conducted by D. J. Poynter and H. A. Houtz,

and interment in Rose Hill cemetery.
