Jenny Lynn Alexander and Gabriel Kaiser Bailey were married

October 2, 2005, at the home of Rick and Marilyn Onkka, Tacoma, Washington, three weeks before Gabriel deployed for a tour of duty in Iraq, with Judge Robert Healey officiating. Upon his safe return, a blessing of the couple’s vows was given by Pastor Tom Thomazin on February 3, 2007 at Edwards Mansion, Redlands, California.

            The bride is the daughter of Terry and Reha Alexander, Corona, California. Jenny is the granddaughter of Joseph and the late Frankie Alexander, Lakewood, California and Earl and Alice Onkka, both deceased. The groom is the son of David and Kay Bailey, Ellsworth. Gabriel is the grandson of Keith and the late Janice Bailey, Ellsworth and John F. and Loretta Achatz Kaiser, Ellinwood, both deceased.

            Matron of honor was Crystal Shovlowsky, sister of the bride, Corona, California and the Maid of Honor was Nesha Cruz, best friend of the bride Corona, California Bridesmaids were Peyton Wallis, Cheri Ramirez and Chelsea Cleveland, friends of the bride. Flower girl was Taylor Joy, friend of the bride.

            The best man was Mitchell Bailey, brother of the groom, Chicago, Illinois. Groomsmen were Kris Thompson, Robert Weatherly, Brad Healey, Brett Moore and Brandon Utter, friends of the groom. The ring bearer was Nathaniel Shovlowsky, nephew of the bride. Ushers were Matt Holmes and Joel Hobson, friends of the bride. Guest book and gift table attendants were Sam Himmelstein and George Himmelstein, cousins of the bride.

            The bride is a 2003 graduate of Santiago High School, Corona, California; a 2006 graduate of United State Army Practical Nurse course, Walter Reed Hospital, Washington D.C.; a Specialist with the Army Reserves and attended Riverside Jr. College, Riverside, California. She is currently attending the University of Kansas and is working towards acceptance into the KU nursing program. The groom is a 1998 graduate of Ellsworth High School; he attended the University of Kansas and has completed a year long tour of duty as a combat medic and he is a Sergeant with the Kansas National Guard. Gabriel is currently attending the University of Kansas and is working towards acceptance into medical school through the National Guard. The couple now resides in Lawrence.

            A Kansas Celebration will be held May 5^th at the American Legion Hall, Ellsworth with the dance at 8 p.m. Friends and family are invited to join in the celebration.
