Obituary ~ Beyerlein

Fred Beyerlein was born on July 19, 1895 in Phillips County, Kansas, the son of Paul John and Mary B. Preuss Beyerlein. He died at the Phillips County Hospital after an extended illness on January 16, 1970, having reached the age of 74 years, 5 months and 28 days.

Fred was baptized and confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran church, Stuttgart, and continued as an active member of Emmanuel until his death. He was married on November 7, 1934 to Ernestine Kolb at Albert, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mrs. Ida Grau and one brother, Leonard Beyerlein.

He leaves to mourn: his wife and two sons, Fred H. and Louis of the home and sons, Adolph, Clemson, South Carolina, and Robert , Urbana, Illinois; one daughter, Lydia (Mrs. William Jones), Kutztown, Pennsylvania, and one granddaughter. Two sisters, Mary (Mrs. August B. Dusin), Phillipsburg, and Elizabeth (Mrs. Emil Baumgartner) Strawberry Point, Iowa; and one brother, Paul J. Beyerlein, Phillipsburg, also survive.

He was a fine father, a good provider and a fine example of Christian living to his family.

Memorial services were held Monday, January 19 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Victor Andersen officiating.

Hymns were sung by Mrs. Elmer Weinman, accompanied by Janice Weinman. A hymn was also sung by the congregation.

Casket bearers were: Emil Dusin, Loren Grau, Edwin Dusin, Fred Krafft, Paul R. Beyerlein and Leonard Preuss.

Interment was in the Emmanuel Lutheran cemetery.
