White-Wilson Vows

Exchanged Saturday

Honeymooning at Lake Arrowhead are Mr. and Mrs. George Hugh Wilson (Doreen Eltiste White) who recited their marriage vows Saturday evening at 8 o'clock in First Lutheran Church. Reverend Erich Oehlschlaeger read the ceremony before 375 relatives and friends of the popular young pair.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cedric Anson White, 4016 Pine Ave., was escorted to the altar by her father. She was gowned in ice blue satin styled with a Basque waist and a very full skirt featuring inverted pleats and ending in a long train. A collar of seed pearls and rhinestones topped the fitted bodice, and a cloche of seed pearls and rhinestones caught her fingertip-length veil. The lovely dress was

loaned to the bride by her cousin, Mrs. Grant Clark of Orange. Completing the ensemble was a white lace fan with phaleanopsis orchids and pearls.

In the wedding party were Mrs. Cedric Anson White Jr., matron of honor; Mrs. Jim Thompson, Misses Virginia Pfeiffer, Diana Muehlberger and Dorthea Hunter, bridesmaids: Paula Clark, flower

girl; Hugh Hunter, best man; Michael Hunter, ring bearer; Cedric Anson White Jr., Ronald Freeman, George Tuck, Edward Tuck and Clemens Lueker, ushers.

Hosts at the reception in the parish hall were Mr. and Mrs. Paul G. Muench of Orange, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Uecker of Long Beach, assisted by Mrs. Donald Wolters, Mmes. Claude Wright, Shozo Iba, Grant Clark, Ronald Freeman, Misses Pauline Muench, Sylvia Wong and Joyce Schinnerer.

The bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. Michael Eltiste of Orange and the late Mr. Eltiste who settled in Orange County 48 years ago and joined other pioneers in the developing the area,

and the late William Anson White of this city.

She is a graduate of Poly High School, Occidental College and Long Beach State College. She is teaching at Franklin Junior High School.

Her husband, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Frederick Wilson of 2211 American Avenue, is a graduate of Poly High School, City College and is working towards his masters and general secondary certificate at Long Beach State College.
