Final Rites for

Alvin Goering

Alvin E. Goering of Auburn died April 22 at an Omaha hospital at the age of 73. He had been in ill health for three years.

Born near Johnson, he was married to Esther Bohling, and they farmed in that community until 1969, when they moved to Auburn. He worked several years on security at Cooper station, as well as for Green Thumb.

He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Tallmadge.

Survivors include his wife, daughters, Mrs. Boyd Wakelin of Brock, Mrs. Dale Stukenholtz of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Mrs. Gary Baker of Norfolk, son, Kenneth of Shubert, 10 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Elmer J. Hahn of Johnson.

Funeral services were held April 24 at Casey-Witzenburg chapel, conducted by Reverend Clyde Justius. Burial was in the Johnson cemetery
