Arthur Wingert Died Monday
Arthur Wingert, 86, Sumner, died Monday, September 9, in a Kearney hospital following a long illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock at Grace Lutheran Church in Sumner with Pastor Carl Brueggeman of Kearney officiating. Interment was in the Miller Cemetery. Overton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. He was born December 11, 1887 at Bucyrus, Ohio, and came at the age of four with his parents to Cairo. In 1930 he moved to Dawson County. He was married to Miss Minnie Eltiste on March 11, 1915. His wife died in 1969. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ruby Pryce, Broken Bow, one son, Ivan Wingert; one sister, Cynthia Wempen of Sumner, three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
