OBITUARY

EMMA M. DAMMANN

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p. m. Saturday in Emmanuel Cemetery, 53rd and Ratner Road, for Emma M. Dammann, 91, Topeka, who died Wednesday, May 27, 1992,

At a home care residence. She had been ill.

She was born May 1, 1901, at Burr, Nebraska, one of eight children of Jacob and Anna Marie (Miller) Weigel.

She moved to Hanover in 1912, to Washington in 1933, to Linn in 1944, to Waterville in 1947, to Blue Rapids in 1966 and to Topeka in 1985 to live with a daughter.

Mrs. Dammann was a member of  Zion Lutheran Church LCA at Hanover. Mr. Dammann died July 26, 1986.

Survivors include two daughters: Melba Payne, Topeka, and Fawn Thoms, Aurora, Colorado, four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Dammann will lie in state until 1:30 p. m. today at Tibbitts-Griffin Funeral Chapel.

There were united in the bonds of Holy Wedlock at 3 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, November 9th, at the Lutheran Parsonage in Hanover, with Rev. Karl Klinger officiating, Mr. Albert Dammann, third son

of Mr. William Timme of Gifford, Idaho and Miss Emma Weigel,

third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacog Weigel of Hanover, Kansas. They were attended by Mr. John Moser of Hollenberg, Kansas and Miss Clara Dammann of Herkimer. The bride was gowned in

navy blue messaline and georgett while the groom wore

the customary blue serge. After the ceremony, a wedding dinner

 was served at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Weigel east of Hanover. This worthy young couple will be at home

 on a farm near Herkimer which the bridegroom has occupied

for a number of years. The Democrat-Enterprise joins their many friends in extending congratulations.

OBITUARY

ALBERT F. DAMMANN

Graveside services were held Tuesday, July 29, 1986 at 11:00 a. m. at Emmanuel Cemetery, Tecumseh, Kansas, 53rd and Ratner Road for Albert F. Dammann, 91 Topeka, Kansas, who died at his home Saturday, July 26, 1986 after a long illness. Dr. Dale Gregoriew First Lutheran Church, LCA, Topeka, officiated at the service.

He was born February 4, 1895, on a farm near Hanover, the son of William W. and Justine (Pralle) Dammann. He was reared in the Hanover community and later lived in Colorado.

Mr. Dammann farmed in Washington County from 1914 until 1929 when he attended a welding school at Lincoln, Nebraska. He was a welder for Union Pacific Railroad several years. He later operated welding shops at Washington from 1934 to 1944, at Linn until 1947 and at Waterville until he retired in 1966 and moved to Blue Rapids. He and his wife moved from Blue Rapids to Topeka in 1985 to be with a daughter.

Mr. Dammann was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, LCA at Hanover.

He was married to Emma M. Weigel November 9, 1920, at Hanover. She survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Melba Payne, Topeka and Mrs. Fawn Thoms, Herndon, Virginia; a sister, Mrs. Clara Moser, Fairbury, Nebraska; two brothers, George Dammann and Herman Dammann, both of Clarinda, Iowa; four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Tibbitts-Griffin Highland Chapel, Topeka, were in charge of arrangements.
