Lester HOY DIES

Lester Hoy died Wednesday night at the home of his father,

R. J. Hoy here, as a result of injuries received in a run-away

on September 14. He is survived by his widow and two

daughters, Fern and Mary Lee.

Obituary

Lester W. Hoy

Lester W. Hoy was born at Fullerton, Nebraska, November 13, 1893,

and passed away September 26, 1934, aged 40 years,

10 months and 18 days.

On September 14th, he was seriously injured by a run-away team,

After to weeks of suffering he succumbed to his injuries.

He was united in marriage to Clara Ellis at St. Edwards, Nebraska,

September 2, 1916. Two children were born to this union,

Fern and Mary Lee.

The deceased is survived by his widow and two daughters, also

his father and stepmother Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Hoy of Fullerton,

three brothers, Frank D., of Graceton, Minnesota, and
Clarence W, and Dexter J., of Fullerton, and one sister,

Mrs. Ralph (Luella) Barber of Fullerton. His mother, two brothers

and two sisters preceded him in death.

Rev. Pattison said of him: "Lester was a resident of this community

all his life. He was highly respected by all who knew him. He was

a faithful husband, a loving father and a good neighbor. His

untimely death has cast  a pall of gloom over the entire

county-side. Our sincere sympathy is extended to the sorrowing

family in the loss which they have sustained."

Clara Hoy-Lovelace Dies

Mrs. Clara Lovelace, 94, died February 21 in Portland, Oregon.

She was a former Fullerton resident and a sister of

Mrs. Iva Sample.

Mrs. Lovelace was born May 21, 1895, at Woodside to

Walter and Viola (Grerry) Ellis. She was a graduate of St. Edward

High School and also attended Kearney State College and

Midland College. She was a graduate of Monmouth College in

Portland and taught school in Portland for 35 years. She was a

member of North Minister Presbyterian Church, Delta Kappa

Gamma teachers sorority and a retired teachers association.

After her marriage to Lester Hoy, the couple farmed north of

Fullerton. Mr. Hoy died in 1934 following a farm accident.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Fern) Larson of

Genoa, and Mrs. Mary Lee (Pat) Callison of Portland, three

grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Ruby

Cumming of Columbus. Preceding her in death were two husbands,

two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were conducted February 28 in Hasch-Patrick

Funeral Home in Genoa by the Rev. Paul Rowoldt.
Burial was in the Fullerton Cemetery.
