The last joke Grandma told me - Why does a Kleenex dance? Because it has a boogie in it!!! We both laughed hard at that one - that was one of the best things about Grandma - her hearty laugh, it was pretty contagious - if she laughed, you couldn't help but laugh too. I thought that joke was pretty fitting for today.

Love - that's a word that pops in my head when I think of Grandma - Everyone she knew loved her and everyone she met loved her.

This last week I heard someone say, that Grandma really loved life, and she REALLY did. If you knew Grandma well, you would know that Family is first. Everyone has flaws and you need to ignore those and find the good. You would know what real love is - The love of a mother for her sons - its a bond everlasting - there's no better men walking the earth than her 3 sons. The love of a daughter for her mother or a mother for her daughter - there is nothing like it. How many mom's know that every day at 11 a.m., their daughter will be there to see them and make sure everything is good.

Grandma and Grandpa's story, is probably like everyone else's, but, the way Grandma told it, it was a Real Love Story, could we all be blessed to be that lucky. Grandma asked me often, "What will people remember me by?" And for some reason I couldn't ever give her an answer, but today, I know - EVERYTHING. What aren't we going to remember about her - Always be sure to make your story with your husband a Love Story, every meal should have a dessert, hug often and when you live long enough to see your Great-Grandchildren born, and even get married - Embrace it.

It really is a never ending list and "Thank You Grandma" for making all our lists so long. We love how you love our family, your cooking, sugar cookies, ice cream with strawberries, your pickles, your soft hands, how you loved to play the piano, your stories and your hugs.

Life is Good - Love is Great!!!

GRANDMOTHER

God looked around his garden and found an empty space...

Then he looked down upon this earth, and saw your tired face...

He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest...

God's garden must be beautiful, he only takes the best.
