Fred W. Torbeck

A lifetime Johnson resident, Fred W. Torbeck,

died Monday, June 7, in the Johnson County Hospital in Tecumseh at the age of 85 years.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 o’clock in St. John’s Lutheran (Stone) church, south of Johnson. Rev. Alan Lorentzen will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Torbeck is survived by four children, Mrs. William (Eveline) Kaiser of Agra, Kansas, Mrs. Enus (Alice) Rippe of Johnson and Mrs. Dale (Opal) Eltiste of Vesta; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Dick Torbeck of Lincoln; and four sisters, Mrs. Henry (Augusta) Schleufer of Superior, Mrs. Herman (Emma) Oestmann and Mrs. Fred (Anna) Klenker of Johnson and Mrs. Otto (Dora) Harms of Deshler.
