Minnie Barbara (Preuss) Ehm was born October 12, 1909 to Fred and Barbara (Weinman) Preuss in Phillips County. She passed away September 21, 1996

in the St. Francis Hospital in Wichita at the age of 86.

Minnie was baptized on November 5, 1909 and confirmed on June 1, 1924 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Stuttgart. She remained a faithful member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church until her death. She was a member of the women's organization and assisted with the quilting projects at the church for many years. She also taught Sunday School for a number of years.

On June 11, 1930, Minnie was united in marriage with Arnold Ehm at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church. To this union two sons, Virgil and Dennis were born. Minnie and Arnold were privileged to celebrate their 66th wedding anniversary last June.

Minnie and Arnold farmed the Ehm homestead until they returned in 1975 and moved to Phillipsburg. Minnie enjoyed her flower garden and plants and always assured that there were homemade cookies in the cookie jar for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting and embroidering until her eyesight no longer permitted her to do so.

During their retirement years, Minnie and Arnold enjoyed tours which took them to Alaska and Florida and many points in between.

Survivors include her husband, Arnold; two sons: Virgil and wife Melba, Phillipsburg and Dennis and wife, Leona, Terre Haute, Indiana; four grandchildren; Dwight Ehm and Diane Zillinger and husband James, Phillipsburg, Gordon and Cristiana Ehm, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Randy and Meg Ehm, Raleigh, North Carolina; three great-grandchildren: Sara and Daniel Zillinger and Austin Ehm; two sisters: Lillie Grote, Phillipsburg and Mary Ann Merklein and husband Ehrhart, Stuttgart; a sister-in-law, Verna Huiting and husband Duane, Stuttgart, brother-in-law, Vernon Krafft, Phillipsburg; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Ehm, Phillipsburg and Sally Ames, San Diego, California.

Minnie will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
