OBITUARY
VERA
SHUNKWILER
Vera M.
Shunkwiler, 75, of Fairfield died Wednesday at
Mary Lanning
Memorial Hospital.
Services will
be at 2:30 p. m. Sunday in McLaughlin Funeral Chapel
at Clay
Center with the Rev. Donald H. Burkum officiating.
Burial will
be i the Fairfield Cemetery.
Mrs.
Shunkwiler was born July 22, 1910, in Hanover, Kansas,
and was
baptized at the Zion Lutheran Church in Hanover.
Her family
moved to Deweese where Mrs. Shunkwiler attended school.
She married
Wesley Z. Shunkwiler, December 28, 1927,
and
lived in Fairfield the remainder of her life.
Mr.
Shunkwiler died August 12, 1983.
Mrs.
Shunkwiler was a member of the High Steppers and the
American
Legion Auxiliary No. 256, both of Fairfield.
Survivors are
six sons, Wesley of Fairfield; Curtis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Kenneth
of Lincoln; David and Keith, both of Grand Island and William of
Anchorage, Alaska;
two
daughters, Marlene Neilson of Mankato, Kansas,
and
Mrs. Roger (Linda) Herbek of Lawrence; one brother,
George
Wallenberg of Fairfield; two sisters, Alvina Shaw of Edgar
and Mrs.
Glenn (Avis) Woods of Lincoln, 20 grandchildren
and 10
great-grandchildren.
Memorials may
be given to the family.
McLaughlin
Funeral Home at Clay Center
is in charge
of arrangements.

Billy and
Kris Shunkwiler, Donald, Michael and Roger Neilson,
