FUNERAL SERVICES FOR

MRS. SEBILA (LAUDENSLAGER) HOY

TO TAKE PLACE TODAY

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Sebila (Laudenslager) Hoy, 82,

who died early Saturday morning at the home of her daughter,

Mrs. W. C. Ward, 549 Clinton Court, Findlay,

will be held at 1:30 o'clock this afternoon from the

Methodist Episcopal church at Carey. .

 

Rev. Shellhass, pastor of the church, will officiate, and interment

with be in the Spring Grove cemetery at Carey. Pallbearers

will be chosen from members of the Men's Bible class of the

Carey M.E. Church.  The funeral party will leave the Ward

 residence on Clinton Court at 12:45 o'clock today.

 

Paralysis was the cause of death. Mrs. Hoy had been in failing

health for more then four years, and seriously sick a year.

 

Mrs. Hoy was born December 11, 1844, the daughter of

William and Anna Laudenslager. She was married twice, both

husbands having preceded her in death.

 

Two children survive: Mrs. Ward, and William Pontius, of near

Carey. One daughter, Lulu Agnes Hoy, is dead.

 

Charles Laudenslager, of Elkhart, Indiana, is the only surviving

brother. A sister, Mrs. Michael Spangler and a brother, Martin

Laudenslager, preceded her in death.

 

Mrs. Hoy had made her home with her daughter here for the

past several months. She had lived in and near Carey for

the past 40 years, and was during that time an active member

of the Carey Methodist Episcopal Church. She as a member

of the Carey W.C.T.U. and the Missionary society of the church.
