Shawn J. Sammons

Shawn J. Sammons, 37, Winona, formerly of Stockton, died Thursday, April 19, 2007, at St. Anthony Central Hospital, Denver.

He was born Jan. 22, 1970, in Fort Bragg, N.C., to Russell and Kathyleen (Look) Sammons. He graduated from Stockton High School in 1988 and attended the University of Kansas and Fort Hays State University

He married Donna Crawford on Sept. 4, 1999 in Victoria. He worked for APAC Road Construction in Oakley.

Survives include his wife, of the home; two daughters, Heather Sammons and Taylor Sammons, both of the home; his father, Geneva, Neb.; and a brother, Shane Sammons, College Station, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sept. 30, 1988, and his grandparents Ralph and Mildred Sammons, and Lawrence and Wilma Look.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Catholic Church

Stockton; burial in Stockton Cemetery

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Smith-Moore-Overlease Funeral Home, Stockton.

Memorials are suggested to the Shawn Sammons Memorial Fund for the benefit of his children in care of the funeral home.
