Death Summons Came Suddenly
Called Out Yet In Prime Of Life
Tamme T. Nordbrock Was Victim of Heart Attack At Farm Home In Benton Precinct Untimely Passing Is Mourned Throughout Community
The death of Tamme T. Nordbrock, best know to his friends as Tom Nordbrock, who passed away early on the morning of December 31, brought a sense of profound sorrow to many friends throughout of community in which he was born and where his entire life was spent. He had attained the age of 41 years, 8 months and 4 days, and thus it was that death called him while he was yet in the prime of life and in the midst of his usefulness. He had never suffered serious illness hence the shock to family and friends was all the greater when death followed a heart attack. Mr. Nordbrock was a very highly respected citizen. He possessed the best traits of manhood and citizenship and his presence will be missed by those with whom he was associated. Tamme T. Nordbrock was born April 27, 1894 at the farm home of his parents, Tamme and Hilke Nordbrock in Benton precinct in this county. On Palm Sunday, April 4, 1909 he was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran church known as the Stone church by Reverend Dirks. On December 3, 1919 he was united in marriage to Emma Caspers. To this union were born two sons, Thomas and Roy and a daughter who died shortly after birth. His wife and two sons survive. He is also survived by his four brothers, John, George and Henry Nordbrock of Hildreth and Herman Nordbrock of Humboldt and five sisters, Mrs. Hilke Caspers and Mrs. Anna Caspers of Hildreth, Mrs. Gretie Fahrenholz of Talmage, Mrs. Geske Remmers of Auburn and Mrs. Katharina Torbeck of Johnson, and his uncle, Altman Bunjer of Hildreth. His oldest brother Altman, and sister, Maggie Torbeck, preceded him in death. Following short funeral services at the home Friday, services were conducted at the Stone church by Reverend G. H. Wiencke with a very large attendance of friends and neighbors and the floral tributes were numerous and beautiful. The church choir under the direction of George Frerichs, rendered appropriate selections Following the services burial was made in the cemetery near the church.

Obituary Death Has Called Former Resident
Mrs. Anna Margaretha Caspers who passed away at Hildreth, June 3, was a former resident of Nemaha county and has many friends here, who will regret to learn of her death. They knew her as a good woman and always worthy of the respect in which she was held. These friends extend sympathy to the members of her family.
Anna Margaretha Nordbrock, daughter of Thomas Nordbrock and his wife, Hilke, nee Bunger, was born December 15, 1871, in Chandlersville, Illinois. There she was baptized in the Lutheran church.
She came to Nemaha county with her parents in 1872 and was confirmed at the Stone church, April 3, 1887 by the pastor Reverend Dirks.
She was united in marriage to Ehme Caspers, March 10, 1897. They lived in Otoe County until 1903 and then went to Franklin county and for 28 years lived on a farm south of Hildreth.
Their married life was blessed with four children, of whom three survive. Tillie, the oldest daughter, died in 1926 at the age of 26 years. The surviving children are Hilke, (Mrs. Otto Jurgens), John Caspers and Herman Caspers. Other survivors are two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, seven grandchildren, four brothers, John, George and Henry, of Hildreth and Herman of Humboldt; four sisters, Mrs. Gretchen Fahrenholz, Mrs. Grace Remmers, Mrs. Hilke Caspers and Mrs. Cathie Torbeck.
Mrs. Caspers was in good health until about four years ago when she underwent an operation in a hospital at Minden. She recovered, but did not regain her former strength.
Funeral services were held at Saint Peters Lutheran church at Hildreth, Reverend H. L. Lenser, officiating.
Out of town people who attended the funeral included, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Remmers Sr., and Maxine, Mrs. Emma Nordbrock and Tom, Mr. and Mrs. John Remmers and Joan, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Remmers and Irvin, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Remmers Jr., and Elva, Mrs. Tillie Caspers and Mrs. and Mrs. George Frerichs, all of Auburn; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Torbeck, Evelyn, Opal and Melvin Torbeck of Johnson; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fahrenholz, Mr. and Mrs. Claus Harken and John Rippe, Talmage; Herman Nordbrock and Douglas, Humboldt; Mr. and Mrs. John Meintz, Beatrice; Miss Hazel Nordbrock, Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Caspers and daughter, Athal, Kansas; Mrs. Herman Weimers, John Herman Jr., and Margaret; Mr. and Mrs. Heye Caspers and Frank Caspers of Alma.
