Obituary - Kaiser

Henry Fred Kaiser, son of Henry and Katharine Eltiste Kaiser, was born near Nebraska City, Nebraska in Otoe county on March 31, 1885, and departed this life at the Phillips County Hospital, Phillipsburg, Kansas, on January 23, 1972, at the age of 86 years, 9 months and 23 days.

Fred was baptized into the Christian faith in infancy and was confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Stuttgart, Kansas. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran congregation at the time of his death.

On June 11, 1913, he was united in marriage to Margaret Bach and they spent their married life on a farm northeast of Stuttgart where he farmed until his retirement.

To this union two sons, Ludwig and Ellsworth, were born.

He was preceded in death by one son, Ellsworth, his parents and five brothers and one sister.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Margaret; one son, Ludwig and his wife, Orene, Phillipsburg, Kansas; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Bertha Kaiser, Phillipsburg, Kansas; two grandchildren, Cheryl, (Mrs. Jerry) Keesee of Phillipsburg, Kansas, and Wyann Kaiser of Toledo, Ohio; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Herman Kaiser, Stuttgart, Kansas, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Stuttgart, Kansas, on Tuesday, January 25, 1972 with the Rev. Duane Levin in charge. Hymns were sung by the Emmanuel Lutheran senior choir and by the congregation with Mrs. Duane Levin as organist.

Casket bearers were: Hilbert Dill, Arnold Grote, Erwin Kaiser, Arnold Kaiser, Gus Kaiser and Alan Hanke.

Burial was in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Stuttgart, Kansas.
